and 8214 Lobe Access Units
Network expansion is fast and cost-effective - up to four stations can
be connected to a Token-Ring network through a single port on a
Multistation Access Unit (MAU).
Features:
Quick and simple expansion.
Instead of buying more MAUs and running a lot of extra cable, place a LAU
near the expanding work area, connect it to the existing network
connection and run only the cables you really need.
- Instant lobe port status.
NLynx LAUs are equipped with active port LEDs
which indicate the status of each LAU port. Active ports are
immediately identifiable.
- Choice of models.
The 8212 LAU provides two lobe ports while the 8214 LAU provides four.
Each model has a main port for connection to the MAU lobe port.
- Choice of connectors.
Both the 8212 LAU and the 8214 LAU can have either RJ45 or DC connectors.
