82xx Plus Series
Designed for ease of installation, troubleshooting and network
management the Plus Series MAUs from NLynx
have front panel LEDs, push button port alignment and full 16Mbps support
on shielded or unshielded twisted pair cable. No external power
supply is required.
Features:
- Fully compatible with IBM Token-Ring products.
May be used stand alone or in conjunction with IBM Model 8228 MUAs.
- No insertion tool required.
Lobe port relays are aligned by pressing the front-panel button;
active stations are not interrupted.
A replaceable battery provides the power for this feature.
- Lower cabling and installation cost.
Unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cabling is the low-cost alternative for
installing and maintaining 16Mbps LANs.

MAU 8216 Plus: 16 port RJ45 connectors.
MAU 8228 Plus: 8 port RJ45 connectors.
MAU 8228-DC Plus: 8 port DC connectors.
- Instant lobe port status.
NLynx MAUs are equipped with active port LEDs
which indicate the status of each MAU port. Active ports are
immediately identifiable.
