5250 compatible workstation
The LM-488C Twinax workstation supporst local
attachment to all IBM AS/400 and System 36/38 servers, and remote
attachment via IBM 5294, 5394 or 5494 controllers. It is a Logic Module with
122-key Keyboard that supports any SVGA colour monitor.
The advanced features of these terminals include:
- Multiple sessions
The LM-488 Twinax workstation can manage multiple display sessions and one
printer session concurrently. Support for IBM's Shared
Addressing allows 28 additional sessions. Mouse support allows inter
session copy and paste editing functions.
- Versatile printing capabilities
The integrated parallel port enables low-cost PC printers to be attached
directly to the LM-488C workstation, for both host initiated
print applications and local screen printing.
- Enhanced productivity tools
Execution of routine, repetitive tasks is quicker and easier with the LM-488C Twinax
workstation. The powerful type-ahead
buffer and 4000 keystroke record/playback functions enables simplified and
error free data input.
- The 'Alice' suite
Off-line activities that are part of the Alice productivity suite include;
an activity reminder, an alarm clock, a telephone directory, a note pad
and a calculator; all easily accessed with the touch of a single 'Alice'
key.
