Twinax Wiring
NLynx wiring products consisting of Baluns, Active Star Hubs and
Multiplexers can be used to create dependable star wired AS/400 and
System/36 networks using Type 3 unshielded twisted pair (UTP),
Category 5, and fibre optic cabling.
The Gemini Express Dual Active Twinax Star Hub from NLynx is the
industry standard in providing compatibility with IBM's 2Mbps Express
Mode. The Gemini Star fully supports the 2Mbps line speed and
throughput performance increases (up to 4 times faster!) available on
the latest IBM iSeries AS/400e products.
The NLynx eight port, fibre optic Gemini Express Multiplexer offers
the unique ability to allow up to two AS/400 controller polling groups
to be transmitted over a single fibre optic pair with a total device
capacity of 56.
Twinax Baluns enable transmission of AS/400 and System/3x signals
over unshielded twisted pair (UTP) wiring, eliminating the need for
costly proprietary cabling systems. NLynx ASF series filtered twinaxial
adapters clean up unwanted noise in the wiring environment that
typically cause problems, such as device drop-offs and reverting to the
sign-on screen.
